FeaturesDynamic QR codes

Print once, change it any time.

A dynamic QR code holds a short link instead of your full address, so you can change where it leads after printing and count every scan. Every code made with CreateQR.ai is dynamic.

Opens a website when scanned: your menu, shop, booking page or anything with a link.

Describe a picture. We hide your code inside it.

AI art comes with a paid plan. Generate takes you to the plan.

Static and dynamic codes

A static QR code stores its content in the pattern itself: the full web address, or the Wi‑Fi name and password. A phone reads it directly, so nothing can change after printing, and nothing counts the scans.

A dynamic QR code stores a short link, such as createqr.ai/c/k7m2qp. A scan reaches that link first, and we send the phone on to the destination you chose. The pattern on paper never changes, but the destination behind it can, as often as you like.

What you can do with a dynamic code

  • Change the destination. Fix a typo, move to a new website, or point the code to this month's offer.
  • Update the details. Change the Wi‑Fi password, the phone number on a contact card or the words of a note.
  • Pause it. Turn a code off for a while and back on later, with no new print.
  • See the scans. Scans per day, the approximate city, the device and the busiest hours. See QR code tracking.

How to make one in three steps

  1. Choose what the code should open in the studio above: a link, Wi‑Fi, a contact card, WhatsApp, email, SMS, a call or a short text.
  2. Style it with colors, shapes, art or your logo.
  3. Save and download. The code goes live with your account, and you can change it from My codes at any time.

What dynamic means in practice

The short link is permanent. We never change it and never give it to another code, even after a code is deleted. When you change the destination, the next scan goes to the new place at once, because we answer every scan fresh instead of letting phones remember the old route.

There is one honest trade-off. A dynamic code depends on the service behind its short link. With CreateQR.ai a code needs an active plan to keep working. Without one it pauses and shows a short notice, and it works again as soon as a plan is active, with no reprint.

Tips

  • Use one code per placement. The same destination can sit behind several codes, and each one counts its own scans.
  • Name your codes after where they are printed, such as “Window poster” or “Table cards”.
  • Test after every change. Scan the printed code once after editing and watch the new page open.
  • Read the longer guide: can you change a QR code after printing it?
